Story Character Design

This is a relatively quick painting that I did for the main character of a short story I recently wrote.
I'm planning on doing more expressions and poses in the near future, as well as adding a few background environments and other characters.

 I also got a new job recently; I've been doing preliminary sketches for a children's book! It's very enjoyable work, but unfortunately I can't post any images at the moment.

Sandy Summit Relief Work
